Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: Ali and Clark.
I know these two from my ward, and MAN are they a party! They make such a perfect couple. The way they play off the other's sense of humor and tease each other makes me so happy they found each other.
We did their formals just recently, and since we did their engagements forever ago and I never posted them, I decided to include a few of my favorites here. Lucky you!!
We went up into the mountains for their engagement session- in the shadow of Mount Timpanogos. It's one of my very favorite places. This place is so beautiful all year long! And the air is always so fresh and clear and scented with pine. We even lucked out with a warm sunny day in the middle of winter. Shazam.
As their wedding got closer, Ali and Clark opted for a first look session for their formal photos in their wedding attire. It was fantastic because it gave us PLENTY of time to get some great photos, and it relieved a lot of stress on their wedding day.
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day at Temple Square. The spring flowers were in full bloom, and the golden evening light was just gorgeous. It wasn't too crowded, and we didn't have the rush and stress of the wedding day to worry about.
Ali is easily one of the coolest people I know. She's so friendly and down to earth, it's effortless to be her friend. She's one of those people who's always looking out for everyone, making sure they feel loved. Ali goes out of her way to include everyone and make them feel wanted. I know, because she did it to me when I first met her. She made me feel relaxed and welcomed in a new place, and I will be forever grateful!
Talking to her is ALWAYS so much fun. Her witty (and sometimes slightly sarcastic) comments and quirky mannerisms never fail to lift my mood! Combine that with her beach babe gorgeous blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes, and she's just a walking beam of sunshine!!
And Clark, he is one solid guy. Like Ali, he's really good at making people included and loved. It's EASY to have a good time with this guy. He's always up for going on some expedition outdoors or trying something new and out of the ordinary. I've always been impressed with Clark's self-discipline and work ethic. If he's going to do something, you best believe he's going to get it done, and get it done right.
Before this shot, Clark was like "Do you want us to do our 'no big' face?" I'm so glad he did. His 'no big' face is perfection.
That's right, a heel click in the wedding dress. That's just Ali's style.
Can you believe this hair?? It's fairytale princess meets smokin hot beach babe.
We went to a nearby park to do a few more photos, and found this cute bridge! It was a great setting for a few more romantic shots. Even Ali and Clark can be serious sometimes...
But oh how they make each other laugh!!
Ali and Clark both have impeccable senses of humor. Their dry, witty comments throughout the evening kept me laughing the whole time! I love the way these two banter and tease each other so cleverly- it's like watching a verbal fencing match!! Such speed and agility! Endless entertainment for me, and lots of photos full of happiness and joy for everyone.
Watching them interact with each other, I could see how in sync and comfortable they are together. The way they joked about things made me feel like their life together is going to be one big inside joke they get to laugh at everyday.
...And I mean that in the best way possible.
Can I just say that I love this picture SO MUCH? I love how not seriously they take life.
In classic Ali and Clark style, we finished with Ali picking up Clark. And Clark felt like he needed to pick her up after that. Proving his manliness or something...
Ali doesn't even like being picked up. What a good sport.
