Hey guess what!
I recently got to second shoot with the fun and talented Lindsay of London Photography at the beautiful Wadley Historic Farm in Lindon, Utah. Second shooting means I wasn't the main photographer in charge, I was working as her assistant, and getting some shots she wasn't able to get while she was busy getting the most important ones. Having a second shooter is great- it makes sure the wedding day is told in a more complete story, and no moments go unrecorded. It allows the photographers to get different angles of the same moment, like different people's reactions during the ceremony, both the bride and groom's faces during the first look, and plenty of shots of the guests and family members throughout the day. Second shooters catch beautiful things.
I was blown away by the whole atmosphere of Wadley Farm. It's a rustic, country escape perfect for an intimate farm-style wedding with an elegant flair, complete with fountains, ivy, and vineyards. There are lots of buildings available to rent out, and the garden at sunset is a breathtaking setting for a reception.
This wedding was so lively- everyone was having a great time! Especially these cuties...
I was thoroughly impressed with the wedding cake. Rock climbing?? Yes, please!
The bride and groom had their first dance out in the patio at sunset. The light was GORGEOUS. Pretty soon everyone joined in, and a full-out dance party ensued. As they always should.
After the dance, we stole the bride and groom away into the vineyard to do some portraits in the lovely golden evening light. Mount Timpanogos served as a beautiful backdrop!
I had lots of fun with the bridesmaids! How cute are the parasols??
The sun got lower, and as the reception drew to a close, we got a few more portraits of the bride and groom together before the sparkler sendoff. The farm got even more magical as the sun went down and the strings of twinkling lights lit up!
Basically, Wadley Historic Farm is the perfect venue for a natural, rustic wedding with an elegant, refined feel. I'm in love with the rustic, dignified buildings, the breathtaking view of the mountains, and the romantic vineyards surrounding the whole farm. I highly recommend checking it out!
Also, I would definitely love to photograph another wedding here. I love rustic, country weddings and photographing couples in a natural, relaxed style. If you'd like, check out more of my work or contact me straight away to see if I'd be a good fit for your wedding!
